In terms of effectivenessammonium nitrate often ranks first among nitrogen fertilizers. This is the best fertilizer for feeding winter cereals and rape. It is used in fertilizer systems in all soil and climatic zones of Russia, during pre-sowing application and for top dressing. Water-soluble, physiologically slightly acidic, fast-acting nitrogen fertilizer.

The fertilizer is concentrated, contains almost no ballast compounds and quickly dissolves in water. A characteristic feature of ammonium nitrate is that cationsammonium fertilizer are absorbed by the soil complex and are not washed into the lower layers of the soil and are well absorbed by the root system of plants. Nitrate nitrogen ions of the fertilizer are not absorbed by soil colloids, are in a mobile state and are quickly assimilated. This is relevant for early spring fertilizing, when nitrification processes in the soil have not yet occurred.

Nitrate and nitrate forms of nitrogen are easily absorbed by the plant. The recommended average application rate of ammonium nitrate is 3-4 cents/ha, up to 6 cents/ha.

In agriculture, it is advisable to use it in the spring for feeding winter crops, spring grain, oil, and sugar beets.

Ammonium nitrate fertilizer can be stored in a polypropylene container for 6-8 months.
