The planetary drive is intended for re-equipment of grain headerscombines of domestic and imported production when installing a Schumacher-type cutting device on these headers.

The planetary drive of the cutting device of the grain harvester of the Schumacher combine is intended for the transformation of the rotary motion of the pulley into the reciprocating movement of the slider connected to the cutting device of the harvesting part of the harvester.

In the planetary drive, planetary gears are used, which provide only longitudinal movement of the knife in the horizontal plane, thus there is no vertical component of the movement of the knife head (for example, MKSh), which allows to significantly reduce noise, vibration, loads on the knife head, and increase the cutting speed.

The maximum number of strokes on the MKSh is 360 strokes/min and on the MPN up to 650 strokes/min.
