The Volga Tire Plant named after the 50th anniversary of the formation of the USSR (since 1992 - OJSC Voltair, since 2004 - OJSC Voltair-Prom) was built in 1959-1964. From the day of its foundation to the present, the plant remains one of the largest enterprises in the industry. The company is the owner of 17 patents for inventions and industrial samples, has 13 trademark protection certificates. Four main trademarks of OJSC "Voltair", denoting symbols, registered in 30 countries of the world, were twice awarded the international award "For the best brand".

Titan International, Inc. (NYSE: TWI) in partnership with One Equity Partners (OEP) and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) purchased the Voltaire-Prom plant from the main owner of the Kordiant holding. Titan International acts as the managing partner for the consortium, which combines deep local business experience, financial knowledge and successful production experience.
Due to Titan's ambition to become the world's leading manufacturer of wheels, tires and chassis, this transaction provides unique opportunities for both Titan and Voltaire-Prom. This investment will allow Voltair-Prom to improve current production processes and strategically develop business. For Titan, this investment is an addition to the international strategy of expanding the company's influence in Russia. In 2012, "Voltair-Prom" covered 43 percent of the market share of tires for agricultural machinery and 16 percent of the market share of tires for industrial machinery. Titan's experience in these markets will allow us to combine forces and resources for further growth. Titan's largest clients, such as Deere, CNH and Agco, are expanding their presence in markets where agriculture is flourishing and equipment purchases and process mechanization are growing.

The tire is equipped with a tube according to GOST 7463, a TC valve according to GOST 8107. Upon agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer, it is allowed to use a TC valve with a valve body made according to drawing 30-3114174-02.
