Cornwood fruits are small in size, oblong in shape (spherical and pear-shaped fruits are also found),
berries. The outside of the berry is covered with a smooth skin of various shades (light red, red, dark red, dark purple and almost black), under which there is a juicy sweet-sour or sweet pulp covering a hard inedible stone. The average weight of one berry is about 2-6 g, of which 65-90% is pulp.
