This manual seeder is intended for dotted and nest sowing of vegetable and melon seeds. The sowing device of a special design prevents damage to the seeds.
One-row vegetable planter consists of: a supporting frame 9, which represents two parallel bars, on which are fixed: in the front part - a support-drive wheel 8; in the middle part - a brush seeding device 3 with a hopper 5 for seeds, a coulter 10 and a hiller; in the rear part - the rolling wheel 13, as well as the handles 1, which are attached to the frame with the help of a bolt connection. A marker is installed in the back of the frame.
The Vinnytsia manual seeder is a body on which the following are mounted: a seed hopper 5 with a rotary disc 2 in the back, a coulter 10 with a seed tube, a brush mechanism 3 with a valve drive 11 of the coulter, a hiller.
The seeding device is driven from the supporting-drive wheel by means of chain transmission 6. When the seeder moves, the rotating brush 3 of the seeding device captures the seeds and directs them into the seed tube through the hole in the hopper 5 and in the rotary disc 2.(//tractor-service.com)
The seeds accumulate on the valve 11 of the coulter, fixed on a two-armed lever interacting with a finger disc installed on the shaft of the seeding device on the left side of the seeder. With a certain periodicity (2 or 4 nests per 1 meter, depending on the installation of the finger disk), the seeds are placed in a furrow made by a coulter. The furrow is closed with a hiller and rolled with a rollerby wheel. The marker, set to the size of the necessary row spacing, marks the track for the subsequent pass of the coulter.
If dotted sowing is necessary, the valve is fixed in the open position with the help of a stop. Preparing the seeder for work includes setting the rate of sowing seeds, the number of nests per meter of row, the depth of the coulter and the width of the row.
- To set the sowing rate of seeds, it is necessary, depending on their type and agrotechnical recommendations, to fix the rotary disc in the right place in the rear part of the hopper;
- To set the number of sockets per meter of line (2 or 4), it is necessary to set the finger disk of the valve drive to the desired position.
- To install dotted sowing, fix the valve in the open position with the help of a stop.
