The "Sunfloro New" harvester (Sunfloro New) is a radical modernization of the "Sunfloro" harvester, the purpose of which was:
- tie the harvester to the Ukrainian realities of agriculture;
-will increase reliability;
-will improve consumer properties;
-will reduce mass;
- will expand the universality of application;
-will provide convenience during maintenance;
- will reduce operational costs.
3. These indicators were achieved due to changes in the kinematic scheme of the drive of the working bodies and a number of structural changes of the harvester as a whole, namely:
a) the frame of the harvester is strengthened due to the use of supporting frame pipes of a larger section. The most loaded place in the harvester's central unloading window has been strengthened due to the more rational use of the corner, which was previously used as an overlay. Now, having changed its location, it creates a pipe profile that is significantly stiffer than the lining.
b) the new kinematic scheme of the drive of the working bodies of the harvester significantly increases its resource, ease of maintenance. The changes consist in the transfer of the reel drive, which was previously located in the right side of the harvester, as well as the plate of the main chain circuit in the left side. These changes provide the following:

- an increase in the resource of the cardan transmission due to a decrease in the angle of collapse of its hinges;
- the driven shaft of the main chain circuit rotates only the MPN drive pulley (planetary drive), previously it also provided the auger and reel drive. Now the drive of the auger and reel is provided by a powerful hub of the star block. These changes have significantly reduced the torque of the shaft and guarantee long-term operation of the whole unit;
- because the drive of the reel is moved to the left side and is transmitted through a block of stars installed on the auger pin, so the twisting and bending moments acting on the pin are reduced to a minimum. The chain contours of the screw drive and the reel drive are located on opposite sides, and the bending moments acting on the trunnion mutually exclude each other as much as possible. The auger pin transmits rotation only to the auger, not to the auger and reel, as before. This significantly reduced the bending moment. These changes increased the resource not only of mechanical gears, but also the resource of the auger itself. Previously, the auger set in motion through itself and wound, which created a huge twisting moment, which is now excluded;
- the cutting speed is increased by 5%, which increases the productivity of the harvester.
c) a number of constructive changes improved the flow of the technological cleaning process and reduced losses to a minimum, namely:
- the moment of capturing, milking and throwing out the seeds and actually the caps of the sunflower with a reel back onto the stem lifters due to the lowering of the threshold in front of the auger, which forms a kind of trap for the cut product;
- the new design and method of attaching the reel cover and the protective net of the auger not only completely exclude losses, but also due to the large adjustment ranges, made it possible to harvest sunflowers of any variety at any yield.
d) improved consumer properties of the harvester allow:
- transport the harvester on a cart without damaging the protective net of the auger with retaining straps. The overview of the auger during operation is improved due to the lowering of the protective net;
- the new design of the attachment of stem lifters allows one operator to dismantle them when adjusting the clearances in the cutting apparatus, instead of two as before;
- the new design of the mounting brackets on the sides of the auger and reel header allows you to quickly and precisely adjust their position in the vertical and horizontal planes for any sunflower yield and the size of its caps;
- the new construction of the fastening mechanisms of the drive mechanisms of the harvester's working bodies allows them to be quickly dismantled for current repairs;
- the harvester is lighter than its counterparts, which means the harvester is less loaded and consumes less fuel;
- there is no need to remove the shield of the main chain transmission fixed with ten bolts every day during maintenance of the harvester to assess the condition of the chain circuit;
there is no need to open the shields on both sides for daily maintenance of the harvester. Now it is enough to open only the left shield, because all objects of regulation and maintenance are located only in the left side.
