An example of calculating the cost of peat and delivery. Delivery is carried out by grain trucks with dump trucks that can load 45 cubic meters (24 tons). The cost of delivery is determined from the peat field to the unloading point at the rate of UAH 60/km. For example, the distance from the peatland to the city of Kyiv is 300 km. So, the cost of delivery will be UAH 18,000. The cost of 45 cubes of peat is UAH 31,500. Together with the delivery of the peat machine - UAH 49,500.
Agrotechnical characteristics of peat: pH - 3.2-3.8; total nitrogen – 1.56%; phosphorus - 0.06%; potassium - 0.04%; calcium – 0.98%; lead – 2.19 mg/kg; cadmium – 0.22 mg/kg; ash content - 28.76%; degree of spread – 41.00%; content of humic acids - 33.59%; organic matter – 35.62%; peat type - sedge-sphagnum.
