KAS 32 (urea-ammonium nitrate or urea-ammonia mixture) is a mixture of concentrated aqueous solutions of urea and ammonium nitrate. Contains amide, ammonia and nitrate forms of nitrogen.

KAS fertilizer can be used for all agricultural crops, but it is most expedient - for cereal grain crops. It has a wide range of applications in technologies for growing agricultural crops. It is used for foliar and basal feeding of plants in the form of multi-component tank mixtures, for the main fertilizer, before seed cultivation and when irrigating agricultural crops in all soil and climatic zones of Ukraine.

In production conditions, when it is more evenly applied to the soil, the efficiency offertilizers KAS is much higher compared to solid nitrogen fertilizers. KAS solution is not only an effective single-component nitrogen fertilizer. On its basis, you canproduce complex fertilizers, which include trace elements, pesticides, and growth regulators. This opens up wide possibilities of their application under intensive crop cultivation technologies and reduces the costs of their introduction.

KAS differs in qualitative and quantitative positive features of action in comparison with other forms of fertilizers. In KAS, when interacting with microorganisms, the amide form of nitrogen changes into the ammonium form available to plants. In the process of nitrification, if the soil temperature is high enough for microbial activity, the ammonium form of nitrogen is converted to nitrate. Thus, the introduction of KAS, which has different forms of nitrogen, gives a prolonged effect of its assimilation by plants.

The following schemes of using KAS and mixtures with other chemicals are possible:

1. Early spring nitrogen fertilization of winter crops after overwintering. Fertilization with KAS solution should be carried out first of all on crops where increased tillering is required. The dose of nitrogen in the first feeding is determined depending on the state of winter crops, soil fertility and the predecessor. On crops with a plant density of 200-300 pcs. per 1 sq. m nitrogen dose - 80 - 50 kg/ha, on denser (300-350 plants per 1 sq. m) -50-40 kg / ha.

2. A mixture of KAS with fungicides on winter crops is used in the spring at the beginning of the emergence of plants in the tube in case of the spread of root rot and the appearance of signs of powdery mildew. The dose of KAS is determined depending on the needs of plants, no more than 40 kg / ha, fungicide - 0.5 l / ha.

3. A mixture of KAS with retardants can be used at the beginning of piping.

4. A mixture of KAS in combination with retardants and fungicides is used in the middle of piping. Nitrogen dose 20-30 kg/ha.

5. It is most appropriate to apply KAS as the main fertilizer under barley.
