The KPS-4PM cultivator is intended for preparing the soil for sowing agricultural crops and caring for crops and can be used in all climatic zones of Ukraine on soils of different mechanical composition with a hardness of up to 1.6 MPa and humidity of 8-30%. The frame of the bridge structure of the KPS-4PM cultivator provides high strength and reliability, while maintaining a low weight. Having a rigid hitch, the design of the cultivator ensures parallel raising and lowering of the unit relative to the surface being processed during turns and moves. The uniformity of lifting the cultivator relative to the hitch with the tractor is ensured by the mechanism connecting the drawbar of the unit with its internal partswith wheels. The uniformity of the lifting of the central part of the cultivator and its wings is ensured by the design of the hydraulic cylinders of the wheels and the sequential scheme of connecting the hydraulic cylinders. The pitch of the working bodies of the KPS-4PM wide-grip cultivator is 152 mm, the width of the paw of the working body is 230 mm, which ensures full overlapping of the working bodies of each other during processing and increases the service life of the paw. Working bodies are placed on five main parallel beams and an additional sixth. This number of rows makes it possible to ensure a sufficient gap between the working bodies for the passage of plant residues during processing. The distance between the rows is 765 mm, which also increases the carrying capacity of the cultivator and prevents it from clogging.
