Since 2013, we have had a completely new breed of ducks available for sale - Grumo. This breed of ducklings is distinguished by its precociousness, even compared to Star 53 ducklings. This is also the French selection of the Grimaud brothers, but more refined. So, growing a duck of this breed takes only 42 days, which greatly reduces the cost ofmeat. By this age, the duck reaches a weight of 3.8-4 kg (verified by experience). From the age of 40 days, feed consumption increases, and if you wait another 4-5 days, the weight of the duck reaches 4.4-4.5 kg. Feeding this duck is no different from feeding other broiler breeds of ducks - this iscombined feed for broilers. But there is another option: 10-day starterbroiler compound feed, and then cake + corn + wheat + BMVD of high quality (perhaps this option is more affordable or cheaper for someone).
At day-old ducklings, they differ from Star 53 ducklings or other breeds of white broiler ducks - they are almost orange in color, but do not confuse orange with burnt down. It has a yellow-brown color. The color of the beak is from purple to yellow, but there are more yellow-billed ducklings. The prices for these ducklings will be no different from the prices for Star 53 and Cherry Vela.
