Haiduk is a high-yielding mid-early variety of spring yellow
peas of Ukrainian selection (ISMAV of the National Academy of Sciences), adapted for growing in the Steppe, Forest-Steppe and Polissia zones.
Main characteristics:
Plant type: leafless (whiskered), which provides high resistance to lodging.
Vegetation period: lasts 71–81 days (mid-early).
Yield: the potential yield is 4.5–5.0 t/ha, average indicators in farms are about 3.0–3.7 t/ha.
Grain quality: round, yellow seeds; the protein content is 21–25%.
Plant height: semi-dwarf type, usually 75–84 cm.
