Hybrid DN Letava is highly resistant to arid conditions and heat, withstands cold spring periods well, the hybrid is plastic and responds positively to improved growing conditions. It is well leafy, which allows it to be used for silage. On average, during 2021–2024, the Letava hybrid exceeded the similar hybrids of Drag, DN Tala, DN Bulat, and DN Demetra in terms of grain yield by 0.21–0.32 t/ha and lower grain moisture content at harvest by 1.0–1.5%.

The potential grain yield is 15.9 t/ha. The maximum yield (10.64 t/ha) was obtained in 2021 in the competitive test of the National Academy of Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences. In 2022, in the environmental test of the ISHPS of the National Academy of Sciences of Sumy, the grain yield of this hybrid reached 13.9 t/ha with a moisture content of 27.4% at the time of harvesting.

The recommended pre-harvest density of plants in the Steppe zone is 50–60 thousand plants/ha.(//tractor-service.com)

Plant:
- 250–260 cm high, does not bush, resistant to lodging. The height of the cob attachment is 100–115 cm.

Kachan:
- length 24--25 cm, cylindrical shape, number of rows of grains 16, core red. The grain yield from the cob is 81%.

Grain:
- yellow, tooth-shaped. Weight of 1000 grains 290–300 g.
