Mastic is prepared by combining bitumen with polymers and mixing with other components in rotary turbulent or two-chamber grinding mixers. Mastic can be applied at temperatures from -40 to +40° C. Its durability is 2.5 times longer than that of hot bituminous mastics, water absorption is almost 70 times less, elasticity at 25° C is 4 times higher, and adhesion to concrete is 8 times higher than that of hot bituminous mastics.

The coating can be reinforced with chopped fiberglass, which is achieved by simultaneous spraying of mastic and fiberglass with a spray gun.
