= Originator: Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics NAS of Ukraine.

Introduced in the Register of Plants of Ukraine for 2014 for growing in Polissya, forest -steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine.

= Biological features: medium -stem, medium -ripe. The growing season is 265-282 days. Has high winter and drought resistance. Resistant to lodging, lesions of powdery mildew and brown leaf rust. Resistant to germination and grain shatter. Variety - Lutensens.

Grain quality: flour and bakery properties are good. grain= Astarta variety contains 13.4-14.2 % protein, 28.9-31.5 % of crude gluten. Flour strength 232-287 AA, volume of bread with 100 g of flour 980-1000 ml. It belongs to valuable wheat.

Economic features: variety high -yielding, high -intensity type. Provides high and stable crops in different backgrounds of mineral nutrition. Unpretentious to the conditions of cultivation, precursors and sowing terms, has high ecological plasticity. According to the original (IFRG of NAS of Ukraine), during the years of competitive test (2007-2012), the average harvest of Astarta variety was 95.7c/ha, which was 19.2 c/ha exceeded the yield of the national standard. The grain yield in the state variety (2011-2013) in 35 varieties was 50.3-98.3 c/ha. Significant yields of Astarta variety crop to the national standard of 3.2-32.5 c/ha were obtained in 19 varieties in 15 regions of Ukraine covering the zones of steppe, forest-steppe and Polesie. Significant allowances to the national standard of 3.8-8.4 c/ha were obtained in the steppe and forest-steppe of Ukraine.

Урожай зерна в Державному сортовивченні (2011-2013 р.р.) у 35 сортодослідах становив 50,3-98,3 ц/га. Суттєві прибавки урожаю сорту Астарта до національного стандарту 3,2-32,5 ц/га отримано у 19 сортодослідах в 15 областях України, що охоплюють зони Степу, Лісостепу та Полісся.

Суттєві надбавки до національного стандарту в 3,8-8,4 ц/га отримано в Степу та Лісостепу України.

Максимальні урожаї в державному сортовивченні: 98,3 ц/га та 96,3 ц/га отримано в Вінницькому Держекспертцентрі Вінницької області в 2011 та 2013 роках, відповідно; 97,4 ц/га — в степовій зоні України (Первомайський Держекспертцентр, Миколаївської області) в 2012 році.

Record high yields were obtained in the research agricultural production of IFRG of NAS of Ukraine (Glevakha town of Vasylkiv district of Kyiv region) 117.7 c/ha in 2008; 106.0 and 107.4 c/ha in 2009 and 2012 respectively.

Agrotechnical requirements: The variety must be grown by intensive technology with the introduction of optimal and high doses of mineral fertilizers. To ensure high grain yields, it is also necessary to protect plants from pests and diseases, especially after ejection of the ear, fungicides like alto Super, Falcon or Folik.

In order to obtain high -quality grain, it is necessary to carry out the third nutrition with dry nitrogen tuks or foliar feeding with carbamide N10-15 kg per ha in the phase of the sparse - milk maturity.

= Seeding rate of 5.5-6.0 million similar grains per 1 ha, depending on the zone and moisture supply.
