MECHANISM OF ACTION:
As a result of contact of the drug with atmospheric air, a chemical reaction of aluminum phosphide with moisture in the air occurs. As a result, the drug decomposes with the release of colorless phosphine gas, carbon dioxide, and ammonia.

Phosphine gas causes paralysis of the pest's nervous system, as a result of which metabolic processes are disturbed and the supply of oxygen to the body is blocked, which contributes to its death. The speed of the drug's effect on pests depends on the concentration of phosphine gas in the air. The complete death of openly living pests is achieved when the concentration of phosphine during exposure is at the level of 7 g/h/m², pests in the protective form of contamination of grain and grain products – 25 g/h/m². Aluminum hydroxide is a gray powder, the residue of which is found in the places where the tablets of the drug are placed after their reaction with the external environment, does not affect the quality of the grain.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Fumigation is carried out in carefully closed rooms or under polyethylene film or tarpaulin. The optimal temperature of grain, grain products and air during processing should be above +15 °C. During fumigationgrains in bulk at warehouses or elevators, tablets of the drug are mixed with grain manually or with the help of a dispenser. When fumigating small batches, grain orflour in bags, unloaded warehouses, etc., the drug is placed in pallets evenly over the area of ​​the entire object to be fumigated. The complete death of pests under optimal temperature conditions occurs 3–5 days after the start of fumigation.

In Ukraine, the drug is registered for the protection of grain, bulk grain during storage, as well as empty warehouses from stock pests. Pests: Barn weevils (Sitophilus (Calandra granarius L.), mealybug (Tenebrio molitor L.), Surinam mealybug (Oryzaephilus surinamensis L.), pea weevil (Brochus pisorum L.), barn grain moth (Nemapogon granellus) , barn fireweed (Piodia interpunctella Hubner.)
