The variety was created by the method of individual selection from the radiomutant Bilotserkivskiy squarehead 47 of the soft winter wheat variety Bilotserkivska 47, which during the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was zoned in the Poliska zone of the Kyiv region and was in crops near the accident reactor. Selected by the pedigree method, Spelta was studied for 25 generations in the collection of Chernobyl mutants of the Bilotserkivska DSS.

In the Register of plant varieties of Ukraine since 2020. Application for registration No. 17539001 dated 03.08.2017, belong to the type of wheat Triticum Spelta (L).(//tractor-service.com)

The variety is prickly. The ear is fragile. During threshing, it breaks up into spikelets.Grain 70-85% is milked from the ear. The plant is medium-sized. The wax coating on the ear, on the sheath of the flag leaf and on the upper internode of the straw is strong. The ear is cylindrical, loose, medium in length, there are spikes on the lower flower scales. The spike is white. The shoulder of the delicate spikelet scale is medium, raised in shape, the tooth is short in length, slightly bent in shape. The grain is red, the color in phenol is light. The type of development is winter. Vitreous grain, weight of 1000 grains - 43-53 g.

The variety is resistant to lodging. Has increased winter and drought resistance, undemanding to growing conditions. Medium ripe. The variety has a high yield potential. In 2018, on average, 61.5 t/ha were obtained at the UIRS sorting stations in Lesostep, including 98.4 t/ha in Sumy ODCERS and 86.3 t/ha in Cherkasy ODCERS. In 2019, the average yield in the forest-steppe zone was 62.9 tons/ha, of which in Cherkasy ODCERS - 81.8 tons/ha, and in Sumy ODCERS - 84.9 tons/ha.

baking qualities are high. Protein content - 12.9-15.4% in 2018, and in 2019, in the forest-steppe - up to 16.3%, in the steppe - 22.8%. Gluten content - up to 30.5%.
