The variety was created by intraspecific hybridization of the varieties Alabasskaya, Antonivka, Struna Myronivska, Volzhskaya nizkostebelnaya, Batko. 

Yalita belongs to the botanical variety of erythrospermum. The ear is spiny, white, not pubescent,red grain. The plant is medium-sized. Under normal agrotechnical conditions, the height of the plants reaches 95-100 cm. The bush is semi-erect-intermediate until it reaches the tube. The stem is of medium thickness and strength. The leaves are medium in length and width. The sheath of the flag leaf, the ear and the upper internode are covered with a strong wax coating, there is no pubescence.

The ear is cylindrical - slightly spindle-shaped, large (9-11 cm), of medium density - 17-22 segments of the spike rod per 10 cm of its length. Spikelet scale is lanceolate or ovoid-oval in shape, its length is 7.5-9.5, width 3.5-4.0 mm, it has weak pubescence on the inner side. The shoulder of the spikelet scale is of medium width, wide, slightly inclined, with a transition to the elevated. The tooth is thin, sharp, straight - slightly bent, short-medium length. The keel is well defined throughout the scale. Spines of medium length are long, not very blunt, often straw-colored, sometimes - at high temperatures during the pouring period - black. Grains are red, oval-ovoid, large, weight of 1000 grains 38-48 g.

The variety is medium-early, ripens in 260-290 days, depending on the zone and features of the year. Increased winter hardiness (8.0-8.5 points) is inherited from highly winter-hardy varieties Alabasskaya and Volzhskaya nizkostebelnaya. Drought and heat resistance are high (9 points). The variety is resistant to lodging andshedding of grain. Yalita has field resistance to brown, stem and yellow rust, weakly susceptible to powdery mildew, septoriosis and root rot (8.2-9 points). The yield of the new variety is high, more than 10 t/ha. During the three years of tests on black steam, it reached 8.63 t/ha, which exceeded the yield level of the Podolyanka standard by 0.78 t/ha.(//tractor-service.com)

In terms of flour-milling and bread-making qualities, Yalita meets the requirements of strong wheat. When growing according to black steam without the use of fertilizers, the content of protein in the grain was 13.8%, raw gluten was 28.3%, the volume yield of bread without improvers was 700-740 ml, the overall bakery score was 9.0 points.

To obtain high yields of high-quality grain, Yalita crops should be placed on fertilized pairs and the best non-pair predecessors: peas, alfalfa, legume-cereal mixtures, potatoes. The new variety provides good yields even with satisfactory predecessors (corn for silage, sunflower).

When growing a variety in occupied pairs and after non-paired predecessors, sowing should be carried out in the early times accepted in the zone, and in clean pairs - in the middle. The optimal sowing rateseeds on black steam fields is 4.0-4.5 million pcs./ha, on busy ones - 4.5-5.0, after other predecessors - 5.0-5.5 million pcs./ha.

The depth of seed wrapping in the case of optimal soil moisture is 3-4 cm. In arid conditions, it can be increased to 6 cm, but at the same time the sowing rate is increased by 0.5 million pieces/ha.
