Entered into the register of plant varieties of Ukraine for 2003 for cultivation in the polisky, forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine.
The variety is mid-early, is sedated and ripens together with the Perlyna Lisostepu variety. It has high winter resistance, drought resistance, resistance to
grain shedding, average resistance to lodging and damage by powdery mildew, brown leaf rust, root rot.
Flour milling and baking properties are excellent.
Podolyanka grain contains 13.5-14.7% protein, 28.7-31.5% raw gluten, flour strength 320-410 a.o., volume of bread from 100g of flour 1100-1210 ml, overall assessment of baking properties 4.0-4.2 points. Classified as strong wheat.

High-yielding variety of intensive type. According to the originator (IFRG of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), during the years of the competitive trial (1998, 1999), the average yield of Podolyanka was 53.0 t/ha, which was 7.3 t/ha higher than the yield of the Myronivska 61 standard variety. The grain yield in the state variety study (2001, 2002) in 52 variety tests was 60.0-87.0 c/ha
High yields of the variety were obtained in production crops of Khmelnytskyi (ToV Poltavka, Novostavtsi village of Teofiopil district), Kyiv (Glevakh village of Vasylkivskyi district), Kirovohrad (village Novoselytsia of Ulyanivskyi district) regions and in the conditions of Hungary (Martonvashar city), respectively - 66.0; 74.3; 94.8 and 96.0 t/ha.
The variety must be grown using intensive technology with the introduction of optimal doses of mineral fertilizers. Sowing rate
seeds -5.5-6.0 million similar grains per 1 ha. The best time for sowing is September 15-20. The variety is undemanding to growing conditions, has high bushiness, which ensures good stem resistance.
