Astamil - Post-emergence herbicide of systemic action against cereal weeds and some annual dicotyledonous weeds on corn crops.
Active substance: Nicosulfuron, 40 g/l
Preparative form: suspension concentrate
Manufacturer: ALFA Smart Agro
Container: 5 l, the price is for 1 l. 150
Переваги:
The most culture-selective among sulfonylureas (even under conditions of application in phases 3-10 leaves inclusive).
No aftereffect on subsequent crops.
Highly effective against all grass weeds, including perennials.
Destroys both the vegetative mass and the root system of the weed.
Mechanism of action:
After application, Astamil is quickly absorbed by the leaves and stems of weeds and moves to the meristem tissues. The active substance is responsible for stopping cell division by blocking the synthesis of the cetolactate synthetase enzyme, which affects the biosynthesis of basic amino acids.
Properties:
After applying the drug, sensitive weeds stop growing and developing after 2-4 hours. The first visual signs of the herbicidal effect appear on the 3-6th day, and the complete death of harmful objects is observed on the 14-28th day, depending on the phase of weed development, species composition, weather conditions after application, etc.
General recommendations:
(//tractor-service.com)
Astamil is applied only by ground spraying. The best conditions for applying the product are temperatures from +15 °С to +25 °С and weeds that are actively growing and growing. An excellent effect is achieved when spraying annual grass weeds in the phase of 3-5 leaves, perennial grass weeds at a height of 10-15 cm, annual dicotyledonous weeds - in the phase of 2-4 leaves. The herbicide is compatible with most pesticides, with the exception of organophosphorus
insecticides, herbicides with the active substance bentazone. Within 7-10 days after processing, it is advisable not to carry out inter-row cultivation of the soil, so that all physiological processes of weeds stop completely. If the weediness of crops requires the preparation of tank mixtures, it is necessary to conduct a trial mixing. Be sure to pay attention to the terms of use of component drugs, which may not coincide. The active substance nicosulfuron quickly degrades in wet and microbiologically active soils with an acidic reaction (pH < 7). If it is necessary to reseed corn treated with Astamil (frost, hail, etc.), it can be carried out in the spring period - only with corn or after plowing - with soybeans, in the autumn period - with winter wheat or barley. You can sow any crop for the next year, but there is a possibility of damage to the subsequent crop of the rotation on soils with an alkaline reaction (pH > 8) in the event that extreme dry conditions prevailed in the period after the application of the drug and before sowing the next crop. In this case, it is necessary to pay attention to the resistance of crop rotation to nicosulfuron, which increases in the following sequence: sugar beets > tomatoes > buckwheat > flax-dovgunets > wheat > barley > rapeseed > oats > soybean >
corn. The most sensitive crops to nicosulfuron-based herbicide are sugar beets, tomatoes and
potatoes. For a comprehensive solution to the problems of weeds that are not controlled by Astamil (spectrum of dicotyledonous weeds), it is possible to use the following tank mixes on corn crops in the phase of 3-5 leaves of the culture:
Astamil (1.0 l/ha) + Alpha-Pyralid (0.2-0.3 l/ha) + surfactant Alfalip Extra (0.2 l/ha) – to strengthen the effective action against pink thistle (Cirsium arvense).
Astamil (1.0-1.2 l/ha) + Alfa-Mais (10 g/ha) + PA Booster (0.1 l/ha) – to strengthen the effective action against quinoa (Chenopodium album), perennial types of weeds.
Also, to expand the spectrum of control of dicotyledonous weeds on corn crops, it is possible to use the following tank mixtures in the phase of 3-7 leaves of the culture:
Astamil (1.0 l/ha) + Hammer Duo* (0.3-0.4 l/ha) – for effective complex action against monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds.
Astamil (1-1.2 l/ha) + Hammer (20 g/ha) + PAS Booster (0.1 l/ha) – to strengthen the effective action against annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds.
Astamil (1.0 l/ha) + Alfa-Mais (10 g/ha) + Hammer (20 g/ha) + PAS Booster (0.1 l/ha) – to strengthen the effective action against annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds.
