Seedlings of REAL persimmons - the persimmon has a powerful tap root that goes to a great depth, the seedling has practically no small overgrown roots - a carrotcarrot, unless it is black in color. This culture is used to obtain fruits (the fruit is a large, sweet berry up to 6 cm in diameter) and as a rootstock for grafting varietal persimmons.
Virgin Persimmon comes from North America. According to our observations, the trees growing in our garden, planted in 2004, are medium-sized, on average about 5 meters at 17 years of age. In the conditions of Zaporozhye (during the period of growth in our garden) there were no lower temperatures (-27 degrees). The declared frost resistance (up to -35 degrees), the root system withstands soil freezing up to (-15 degrees) and therefore seedlings of this species are recommended to be used as a rootstock for the promotion of cultivated varieties in more northern regions. The second valuable quality as a rootstock is that it withstands and grows well even on heavy clay, overmoistened soils, and also has a longer period of natural winter dormancy, which does not provoke the premature start of sap development of the cultivated variety due to prolonged winter thaws.
The tree bears fruit for 4-6 hours. The culture is resistant to pests and diseases.

The mother trees growing in our garden are of four varieties (early and medium ripening), we collectseeds from them and grow seedlings.
The seedlings offered for sale are grown from seeds collected from our trees, seed reproduction guarantees the inheritance of 80% of the mother's qualities. Fruiting was checked on the seedlings grown by us in this way, the ripening period and the size of the fruits are identical to the mother trees.
Mother trees planted in a permanent place, according to the 3x3 scheme,one-year seedlings in the fall of 2004. The height of adult (17-year-old) trees in the conditions of Zaporozhye is about 5 meters. During the period from 2004 to 2021, there was no freezing of fruit wood and skeletal branches. Fertilization starts from the age of five, fruit buds are laid
on the increase of the current year. For cross-pollination, if there are no other Azimina trees in the area, at least two seedlings should be planted. Fruits are 5-12 cm long, 3-7 cm wide, weigh from 20 to 500 grams, from 1 to 7 fruits on one peduncle. The seeds are brown, 2-3 cm long, arranged in two rows. The fruit skin is thin and easy to clean. The flesh of the ripe fruit of azimina is whitish-yellow or orange-yellow, with a sweet taste and a pleasant mango-pineapple-strawberry aroma.
