Brodifakum is the most active second-generation anticoagulant for single oral administration, effective against rats and mice. The active substance is prepared on a food basis, usually on acereal basis, to obtain a ready-to-use bait containing 0.005% Brodifacoum (there are also 0.001% and 0.002%). Death occurs suddenly within a few days after taking a lethal dose.
