It is used in all soil and climatic zones both as the main fertilizer for plants when sowing and planting in the soil when digging the soil in autumn and spring, and for foliar fertilization (spraying plants).

In the soil, the amide form is transformed into ammonia, and later - into nitrate. Therefore, it is most effective to use urea under crops with a long growing season.
Ammonification and nitrification processes occur slowly, at temperatures of + 20 ° C and more, therefore, nitrogen from urea is more evenly absorbed by plants during the growing season - the prolonged action of the fertilizer. Amid nitrogen is not washed out of the soil and its losses are quite minimal.

The fertilizer is white granules that do not have an odor and dissolve well in water. Solubility is both a plus and a minus. The negative effect of this is manifested in the fact that urea does not remain in the soil for a long time, and therefore urea cannot be applied in the fall.
A positive effect of solubility - it is possible to introduce a solution of urea as a foliar top dressing. Moreover, urea in the right concentration does not "burn" plant leaves. Up to 200 kg of urea is applied to one hectare of crops. Absorption occurs 5-7 days after application. The permissible concentration of urea solution for foliar feeding is 5-15%, depending on the culture and the phase of development. For grain crops - up to 15 kg / ha (in physical weight).

Fertilization with a urea solution is recommended at an air temperature of no more than + 20 ° C and no less than + 10... 12 ° C, in the evening or (in cloudy weather) during the day, which ensures an increase in the utilization rate of nitrogen from fertilizers. Foliar feeding is especially effective on healthy plants that are well supplied with other nutrients.
Urea is the best nitrogen fertilizer for foliar fertilization, because when properly applied, amide nitrogen is quickly absorbed by the leaf surface of plants by 90-95% in a very short period of time.

It is recommended to combine foliar feeding withcarbamide in one working solution with pesticides and microfertilizers, which improves the effect of chemical agents and reduces the impact of stress factors caused by them. The volume of the working solution should be 200-250 liters per hectare.

Urea cannot be combined with saltpeter, phosphates and potassium. Contraindicated for soil with high acidity.
During storage, ingress of moisture is not allowed.
