A very popular old Italian variety, with the largest leaves in the entire variety of basils and the most productive of them.
A large lush plant up to 90 cm tall, with huge (about 10-15 cm long) corrugated and very aromatic leaves, slightly lighter in color than ordinary salad varieties of basil.
It is distinguished by a more tart taste and a rich smell with a hint of anise. Since the leaves are also very juicy and tender, they are not suitable for drying, but they are perfect for making pesto, while only a few leaves are needed for a full-fledged sauce.
Basil Lettuce leaves contain the delicious aroma of basil to brighten up your summer sandwiches. You can easily wrap a slice oftomato or slices of mozzarella in these giant leaves, collected already 70 days after germination.
