Common oak is used in traditional medicine for the most different diseases. Ego is often used to treat diseases, including inflammatory, mouth ulcers, tonsillitis, gingivitis, stomatitis, and pharyngitis. There are many skin diseases for which this plant can be used. These include candidiasis, bedsores, abscesses, festering wounds, burns and frostbite, eczema, itching and various dermatitis. In addition, oak is used as a cosmetic product for blackheads, acne, wrinkles and increased sweating of the legs. This plant is recommended for some gynecological diseases, such as colpitis or cervical erosion. It is also used to treat liver diseases, gastritis, colitis, hemorrhoids, dysentery, diseases of the spleen, poisoning and gastrointestinal bleeding. Diathesis also refers to diseases in which it is possible to use preparations based on common oak. Different parts of oak are used in various fields - from the tanning industry to shipbuilding. The bark of the tree has great medical value, being an excellent raw material for the manufacture of various drugs used in the fight against skin, inflammatory and other diseases. Such agents have antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, astringent, hemostatic and many other properties that are highly valued in folk medicine. Oak bark contains a large amount (about 10-20%) of tannins. In addition to them, gallic and ellagic acids, coloring substances, pentosans, catechins, flavonols, pectin substances,
sugar, quercetin, etc. were found in the plant material.
