Mechanism of action of Topmethrin:
The active substance of the drug is an inhibitor of photosynthesis processes in sensitive plants. Penetrating through the seedlings and roots of weeds, it moves along the xylem, blocking photosynthesis and disrupting metabolic processes in the roots, which in turn leads to the death of plants. Destroys both emerging and pre-emergent weeds.
The speed of action of Topmethrin:
Visible signs of the drug's action are visible after 2-3 days after application - in the form of yellowing or discoloration of weed sprouts sprouting from seeds, or after 5-7 days - for weeds that have already germinated. The period of protective action, depending on the soil and climatic conditions and species composition of weeds, is up to 10 weeks.
Processing period and features of Topmetrin application:
Application of the drug should be carried out before sowing, after sowing or 2-3 days before the appearance of crop seedlings on a well-prepared, leveled surface of the field with a fine lumpy structure. If the soil is sufficiently moistened or there is precipitation after treatment, wrapping of the preparation is not required. In arid conditions, to increase efficiency, it is recommended to work to a depth of 2-3 cm. After using the drug, inter-row cultivation of the soil should not be carried out, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of its action.
The application rate of Topmethrin herbicide depends on the type of soil and its mechanical composition. On light soils with little humus, it will be minimal, increasing with an increase in the content of humus in the soil and its physical and mechanical properties. In order to ensure maximum effectiveness, the application of the drug should be carried out in the morning or in the evening at an air temperature of +10°C to +25°C.
Trigger® - an effective systemic herbicide for the control of annual dicotyledonous weeds (including those resistant to 2,4-D and 2M-4X), as well as some perennial dicotyledonous weeds (field thistle, etc.) in cereal crops.
Active substance and concentration: tribenuron-methyl, 500 g/kg
Chemical group: sulfonylureas
Distribution in the plant (or mode of action): systemic
Preparative form: VH (granules dispersible in water)
Toxicity class (WHO classification): II
The rate of consumption of the working solution: 200 - 300 l/ha
Manufacturer: Adama
Packaging: plastic bottle 0.5 kg
Advantages:
Effectively suppresses a wide range of annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds, including those resistant to 2,4-D and 2M-4X.
The highest selectivity and absence of phytotoxicity on grain crops: the drug can be used from 2 to 3 true leaves in crops until the appearance of a flag leaf.
Sensitive weeds stop growing immediately after processing.
The increased rates of consumption of the drug cope well with field thistle and some other perennial broad-leaved weeds.
Most weeds are most sensitive to the drug at the stage of 2-4 leaves (annuals) and rosettes (perennials). Therefore, when choosing the terms of application, you should focus on the stage of development of weeds, and not on the culture. To combat late-emerging weeds, the drug can be applied before the flag leaf stage.
To maintain an effective herbicidal action, it is recommended to use TRIGGER® with the addition of an alcohol-based surfactant.
The combination of TRIGGER® and TOMIGAN™ is a comprehensive, economical and safe solution to the problem of weeds in grain crops.
