Primary shaft СШ20.37.065 CPP T-16 with gears in assembly. On the primary shaft, two immovably fixed driving gears are installed: the first gear and the fourth gear, as well as two sliding gears: the second and third gears, the fifth and sixth gears.

The primary shaft in the SSh20.37.065 assembly is installed in the gearbox housing on three 306K ball bearings. The left bearing is installed directly in the gearbox housing, and the two right ones are placed in the socket of the primary shaft bearings СШ20.37.110. The driven bevel gear SSh20.37.103 is installed on the left splined end of the primary shaft, which transmits the torque from the diesel engine through the bevel gear of the main clutch shaft SSh20.21.126-1.

On the splines of the primary shaft, movable gear blocks of the second and third leading gears T16.37.105A, fifth and sixth leading gears СШ20.37.104А are installed. The gear of the first transmission T16.37.107A is installed on the primary shaft on a prismatic key.
