A medium-ripening variety (73-85 days) of the steppe ecotype, the leaves are narrow, linear-lanceolate, with a wax coating. It is marked by ecological plasticity, tolerance to soil and air drought.

The plants are medium in height (63-78 cm). The shape of the bush is upright, the stem is of medium thickness, resistant to lying.(//tractor-service.com)

The variety is weakly affected by powdery mildew, helminth sporiasis, root rot, weakly susceptible to the damage of flying and hard heads with artificial sporulation.

A variety of grain fodder and food use. Выравненностьhigh grain (up to 97%), crude protein content in grain 13.0-15.5%.

In dry years, when grown on an unfertilized background, Donetsk 14 is able to ensure grain yield at the level of 31-42 t/ha.

The variety was included in the register of plant varieties of Ukraine in 2000.
