Mechanism of action: The active substance of the drug (imidacloprid) disrupts the balance of transmission of nerve impulses in the insect's body, which causes nervous overexcitation and the death of the pest. Gaucho®-treated seeds receive reliable and complete insecticidal protection against most terrestrial and soil pests.
The active substance is absorbed by the roots of the plant and is directed to the leaves from there. At the same time, the insecticide is evenly distributed throughout the plant and provides long-term protection against sucking and biting insect pests. Treated seeds are recommended to be sown immediately after impregnation. However, in the case of early treatments, the seeds should be stored until sowing in a cool, dry, well-ventilated room.
Stocks of poisoned seeds, which were prepared before the season, are usually recommended to be checked for germination before sowing. The active substance, in addition to its insecticidal properties, is able to activate the protective functions of the plant itself and provide a stimulating effect ("antistress effect").
APPLICATION TECHNIQUE: To prepare the working solution, you need to dilute the drug with water to a homogeneous state. Different volumes of the working solution are used depending on the type of equipment, the technology of seed poisoning and the quality of the preparation of the seed material. The main thing is that the drug is uniformly and qualitatively applied to cleaned, dry and calibrated seeds. According to the size and weight of the seeds, which can differ significantly in some field crops (corn, sunflower), the recommended rate of application may vary. The larger and larger the seeds, the lower the rate of the drug per 1 ton provides the necessary level of protection.
