Elsanta is a Dutch variety that was bred in 1981 as a result of crossing the Gorella and Holiday varieties.
Medium-early ripening variety (3-5 days earlier than Zenga Zengana).
Bushes are large, multi-leaved. Adaptation is moderate.
The peduncles are medium, but there are a lot of them, up to 5 pieces, per bush.
Berries from medium to large size, dense, dessert taste, regular, round-conical, without a neck, bright red with a strong shine. Flesh from bright pink to bright red, sweet-sour taste with aroma. The peduncle is easily detached.
Elsanta plants are only slightly damaged by gray rot, quite resistant to spotting, but susceptible to diseases of the root system and powdery mildew.
Frost resistance is weak, due to the lack of snow cover, it often freezes.

Berries tolerate transportation well over long distances and tolerate storage in room conditions for up to 3 days.
The variety is very productive - about 1.5 kg per bush. Due to the high potential yield, excellent taste and appearance of Elsanta berries, it ranks first in Europe in terms of indoor and outdoor cultivation areas.
