Ensures obtaining high and stable harvests over the years on optimal backgrounds of mineral nutrition with the use of intensive cultivation technology.

Originator: Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Entered into the Register of Plant Varieties of UKRAINE for 2012 for cultivation in the Steppe, Forest Steppe and Polesia zones of Ukraine.

BIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS: the Lazurnaya variety is medium-ripe, the growing season is 269-280 days. The variety is medium-sized, plants are 91-94 cm tall, resistant to lodging (7.9-8.6 points) and shedding (8.3-8.9 points). It is weakly affected by the main diseases and pests. It has increased winter resistance and drought resistance (8.8 points). Resistant to germination of grain in the ear. The variety is erythrospermum. Grain quality: flour milling and baking properties are good.Grain of the variety Azure contains 14.5-15.3% protein, 30.7-33.9% crude gluten. Classified as valuable wheat.

ECONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS: according to the originator (IFRG NAS of Ukraine) in the years of testing (2008-2011), the average yield of Lazurnaya was 88.1 t/ha (including 101.3 t/ha in 2009), which is 12.6 t/ha higher than the yield of the national standard. The average yield in the Steppe zone during the years of the State Trial (2009-2011) was 57.6 t/ha, in the Forest Steppe zone — 66.6 t/ha, Polesie — 57.6 t/ha. Guaranteed increase to the national standard of 4.8-6.2 t/ha. Substantial yield increases of the Lazurnaya variety to the national standard — 4.4-31.4 t/ha — were obtained in 11 variety trials, including increases of 8.5-31.4 t/ha in 10 variety trials in 10 regions of Ukraine, which cover the steppe, forest-steppe, and Polesya (Volyn, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Kirovohrad). In an ecological test at the agro-experiment of the Center for Varieties and Varieties (Kyiv region, Belaya Tserkov), the yield of the variety was 85.9 t/ha, which is 10.6 t/ha more than the national standard. The maximum yield of the variety — 103.0 t/ha — was obtained in 2011 at the Vinnytsia State Expert Center of the Vinnytsia region.

Agrotechnical requirements: variety of universal use. It can be placed on all predecessors, using intensive technologies with the introduction of optimal doses of mineral fertilizers. On high levels of mineral nutrition, retardants must be applied to prevent lodging. To ensure high grain yields, it is also necessary to carry out 2-3 times protection of plants from pests and diseases, especially after throwing out the ear, with insecticides Karate Zeon 050 СС mc.s. or Engio 247 SS hp. and fungicides of the Alto Super 330 EC type. Amistar Extra 280 SC hp. In order to obtain high-quality grain, it is necessary to carry out the third top dressing with dry nitrogen fertilizers or foliar top dressing with urea N 10-15 kg d.v. per hectare in the phase of earing-milk ripeness. Sowing rateseeds — 4.5-5.0 million germinated grains per 1 ha depending on the zone and moisture availability.
