Systemic poison for pre-sowing processing
cereal seeds cobs.
Patent No. 29188 dated 10.01.2008.
Active ingredient:
thiabendazole, 80 g/l; imazalil, 125 g/l; tebuconazole, 60 g/l
Manufacturer:
Peters and Burg KFT, Hungary
Formulation:
liquid suspension concentrate
Tare unit:
canister 5 l.
Features and Benefits
• Provides reliable protection of seeds and young plants against seed, soil and aerial infection.
• Increases seed germination by eliminating infection.
• Promotes friendly seedlings and good rooting of plants.
• Stimulates the development of the root system, which has a better effect on overwintering and the development of cultivated plants.
Mechanism of action
Thiabendazole is a substance of systemic action that stops the processes of cell division of the pathogen. It works well against the causative agents of powdery mildew diseases, as well as against root rot (helmintosporium and fusarium). Thanks to the transfer to the young organs of the seedling, it protects the culture from leaf diseases at the first stages of growth and development.
Imazalil is a substance of systemic action, prevents the development of helminthosporous and fusarium root rots, protects seedlings from aerogenous infections (powdery mildew, septoriosis, etc.) for a long time.
Tebuconazole is a substance of systemic action, by disrupting the processes of synthesis of ergosterols in the membranes of fungal cells, it effectively destroys the causative agents of powdery mildew diseases, helmintosporium and fusarium root rots, and also protects against septoriosis at the first stages of growth and development of the crop. Acts as
growth regulator.
Recommendations for use
Before use, the drug should be thoroughly mixed in the canister.
To process 1 ton of seeds, 10 liters of working solution containing 0.3–0.4 liters of the drug and 9.7–9.6 liters of water are used, respectively.
To ensure uniform coverage of the seeds with a film of the working solution during the etching process, the amount of seed material that passes through the etching machine and the amount of the working solution fed into the etching chamber should be carefully controlled.
Compatibility with other drugs
The working solution is prepared immediately before seed treatment. To prepare the working solution, you need:
1. Thoroughly mix the drug in the canister.
2. Dissolve 0.3–0.5 l of the drug in 9.7–9.5 l of water, respectively, in a container for preparing the working solution (usually 10 l in volume based on 1 ton of seeds).
3. Stir the solution for 3–5 minutes to obtain a homogeneous suspension.
In the process of seed processing, the amount of seed passing through the etching chamber and the amount of working solution used for processing should be carefully controlled.

According to the laboratory research data of the Institute of plant breeding named after V. Ya. Yuryeva (2007), treatment of winter wheat seeds with Antal® preparation, t.c.s. with a rate of 0.3 l/t provided an increase in seed germination by 5.3%. According to the field studies of the Institute of Plant Protection (Kyiv, 2007), treatment of winter wheat seeds with the preparation Antal®, t.c.s. with a norm of 0.3–0.4 l/t contributed to an increase in the field germination of seeds by 1.5–5.0%.
But it should be noted that the poisoner is in no way capable of compensating for the low quality of the seed material, so only conditioned seeds should be used for processing: cleaned of foreign impurities (dust, weed seeds, broken and damaged seeds, plant remains, etc.); with sufficiently high germination and germination energy; standard humidity (14%) or 1–2% lower than the standard. Seed treatment is carried out 1–2 weeks or immediately before sowing.
