The most common types of mineral fertilizers used in agriculture are:
Phosphorous mineral fertilizers help plants and their fruits to grow in particularly unfavorable conditions — in sandy soils, for example.
1. Nitrogen fertilizers help plants develop vegetative organs. In the process of air nitrogen binding with hydrogen, we get ammonia. As a result of the oxidation of ammonia and the addition of nitric acid to it, the well-known ammonium nitrate is obtained, with a nitrogen content of more than 30%. Sodium, potassium nitrate and urea are also used as nitrogen fertilizers (nitrogen content is about 46%). The lack of nitrogen during plant growth is manifested by delayed plant growth, dying of lower leaves, etc.
2. Complex mineral fertilizers —
diamophos, amphos, nitrophoska and nitroamophoska. They have two or more nutrients and are suitable for any type of plant. Complex fertilizers are well absorbed by the root system. They can be used both for the main application and for feeding. According to the method of production, they are divided into complex and mixed.
3. Mixed fertilizers are mechanical mixtures of various substances. And complex fertilizers are mineral fertilizers that contain at least two nutrients for plants. Usually, the term "complex fertilizers" is used to denote all complex liquid and solid mineral fertilizers in which all particles (granules or crystals) have approximately the same chemical composition.
Complex complex mineral fertilizers clearly have an advantage over other fertilizers, as their elements are balanced and easily assimilated.
