Device and operation of the mower
The mower is driven by cardan transmission from the power take-off shaft (PTO) of the tractor to the power take-off shaft 8 (PTO) of the mower. The two-arm drive pulley 3, rigidly connected to the VPM, transmits rotation to the shaft of the driven pulley through V-belts. An eccentric rigidly attached to the shaft of the driven pulley converts the rotary movement of the shaft into a reciprocating motion of the knife of the cutting apparatus through the connecting rod.
The technological process of mowing proceeds as follows: when moving a tractor with a mountedmower across the field, the grass falling between the segments of the moving knife and the counter-cutting edges of the finger inserts is cut. The cut plants are rolled through the cutting apparatus and placed on the surface of the field. At the same time, the stem diverter on the inner ski diverts the cut grass from the knife head slightly to the right, and the stem diverter installed on the outer divider diverts the cut grass to the left, providing free passage for the inner ski on the next run.
