Sunflower seeds hybrid AM FORTETSYA, Kharkiv region.

A new sunflower hybrid of the selection of "AF NPP AGROMYR" LLC, submitted for state testing in 2025.

Created on the basis of the Berkan hybrid. But, at the same time, it has a number of significant differences from it:

Suitable for Clearfield and Clearfield+ technologies.
Unlike the Berkan hybrid, the Fortress hybrid has:
increased resistance to post-emergence herbicides of the imidazoline group (Euro-Lightning, Euro-Lightning plus, Kaptora, Kaptora plus, Pulsar, Eurolang, Euroland, Vitalite, etc.). For example, in the process of selective selection, the dose of a single application of the herbicide Euro-Lightning reached 1.7 l/ha, and Euro-Lightning plus up to 2.3 l/ha;
genetically homogeneous;
has a thicker and stronger stem;
has a larger habit with wider leaves;
the slope of the basket at full ripeness is smaller.

Approbation and biological and economic signs:
- A simple early-ripening hybrid.
- Intense type.
- Oil direction of use. The high-oil hybrid - the oil content of the seeds is 52-53%.(//tractor-service.com)
- The duration of the growing season is 115-118 days.
- Powerful.
- Extremely drought resistant.
- Has genetic soil resistance to white rot and Phomopsis.
- Very high-yielding.
- For steppe and forest-steppe zones.
- Has a powerful root system. Therefore, it is suitable for growing on poor soils, sunflower bysunflower, by disk (without plowing) more than other hybrids.
- The height of the plants is 170-180 cm.
- Stem of medium thickness.
- The leaf plate is medium, moderately green in color.
- The beginning of flowering is early.
- The basket is convex, large in size, more than 22 cm with a small angle of inclination of about 30%, which prevents moisture from accumulating in the cup of the basket.
- Medium-sized seed, narrowly ovoid in shape.

Agrotechnical requirements:
Plants of the Fortress hybrid have a large habit, therefore it is not recommended to thicken the sowing, but the optimal density during harvesting in the Forest Steppe is 50-55 thousand plants per 1 ha, and in the Steppe - 45-50 thousand plants per 1 ha.
