Basta is a continuous action desiccant and contact herbicide that is used on many crops.

Mechanism of action of Bast :
The activity of Basta's active ingredient - ammonium glufosinate - is based on blocking the functioning of the glutamine synthetase enzyme. This leads to numerous metabolic disorders, in particular to:

* Rapid suppression of the photosynthesis process (at 2-8 hours);
* Violation of membrane functions due to the accumulation of free ammonia;
* Decrease in protein biosynthesis due to lack of organic nitrogen suppliers.

As a result, free ammonia quickly accumulates in Basta-treated plants to a toxic level, which gives Basta the so-called burning effect: rapid browning of the green parts of plants occurs. In addition, stopping the formation of the amino acid glutamine leads to a slower but long-lasting effect.
Ammonia toxicity, glutamine depletion and rapid inhibition of photosynthesis ensure the fast and highly effective action of Basta as adesiccant and a continuous action herbicide.

Application of Bast :
As a desiccant, Bastu 150 v.r. It can be used on many crops, in particular onsunflower, legumes (peas, soybeans, alfalfa), winter and spring rapeseed, grain crops with a rate of 1-2 l/ha.
The drug is intended for drying cultivated plants before harvesting, that is, for reducing the humidity of the plant mass with the aim of simultaneously accelerating and equalizing the ripening process, improving quality (germination, growth strength, weight of 1000 grains and natural grains), increasing yield, reducing seed losses, to facilitate and reduce the cost of harvesting.
