Description

The liquid is light yellow to dark yellow in color, a slight precipitate may appear.

Composition:

1 ml of the drug contains active substances:

enrofloxacin - 80 mg;
colistin sulfate - 600,000 IU;
tilmicosin phosphate in terms of tilmicosin - 75 mg.

Auxiliary substances: 1,2-propylene glycol, lactic acid, purified water.

Pharmacological properties:

PARATIL is a combined drug containing three antibiotics. Enrofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. The mechanism of its action is associated with the inhibition of subunit A of DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) of gram-negative bacteria, which blocks the process of superspiralization of the DNA molecule. In gram-positive bacteria, this process affects topoisomerase IV, not topoisomerase II. Under these conditions, transcription and recombination processes in the bacterial DNA are blocked. Enrofloxacin has a bactericidal effect against gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Corynebacterium spp., etc.) and gram-negative microorganisms (E. soli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., etc.), and also acts on mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae, Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma meleagridis, Mycoplasma iowae). Colistin is an antibiotic of the group of polymyxins, synthesized by the aerobic spore-forming bacillus Bacillus polymyxa. It has a bactericidal effect on Gram-positive bacteria (such as E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas spp.), binding to the phospholipids of the cytoplasmic membrane, increasing its permeability to both intracellular and extracellular components, which leads to the destruction of cellular barriers. Tilmicosin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic of the macrolide group with a wide spectrum of action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, especially against Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Actinomyces spp., Corynebacterium and Mycoplasma spp. The mechanism of action of tilmicosin consists in blocking protein synthesis in the bacterial cell as a result of the formation of a complex with 50S subunits of ribosomes.

Application:

Treatment of domestic chickens (chickens, broiler chickens,turkeys), sick with colibacteriosis, pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, chronic respiratory infections (CRD), staphylococcus and campylobacteriosis, caused by microorganisms sensitive to enrofloxacin, tilmicosin and kolystinu.

Orally with drinking water in a dose of 1.0 ml of the drug per 1 liter of drinking water daily for 3-5 days. Depending on the severity of the disease, the dose of the drug can be increased to 1.5 ml of the drug per 1 liter of drinking water per day. The treatment can be repeated later in case of stressful situations and new cases of disease. Shake the ampoule or bottle (canister) with the drug before use. During the treatment period, animals should receive only water containing the drug. A fresh solution of the drug is prepared every day in the amount calculated for consumption throughout the day.

Contraindications:

Increased sensitivity to enrofloxacin, tilmicosin and colistin. Do not use poultry in severe disorders of kidney and liver function. Do not use simultaneously with tetracyclines, erythromycin, cyclosporins, chloramphenicol, as well as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not apply to laying hens whose eggs are intended for human consumption.

Cautions:

In the recommended doses, side effects, as a rule, are not observed. Slaughter of poultry for meat is allowed 12 days after the last application of the drug. The meat received before the specified period is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinary medicine doctor.
