And still, this medicinal plant continues to be considered "a cure for ninety-nine diseases." R. Akhmedov in the lyrical novel "A Word about Rivers, Lakes and Herbs" writes that until now in the villages of Bashkiria, as in the old days, medicinal infusions of St. John's wort together with oregano are usually drunk for all stomach ailments, nervous disorders, various pains, but most often just like that, due to an ingrained habit - for the prevention of all ailments. The writer himself was more than once convinced of the effectiveness of St. John's wort extract for burns. Going out into nature, he established a rule: on the first day, they collect the tops of St. John's wort stems, grind them and pour them with sunflower oil. Already in a day - two useful "St. John's wort oil" is ready; anoint your sunburned shoulders, back - it removes the burn as if with your hand, the heat and pain subside, and the skin does not peel afterwards.
