One corn from the most popular crops among farmers
And it is not for nothing - the options for using the finished product will not make it difficult to sell the product, and its productivity will cover all costs. But, in order for this to happen, farmers need to carefully control weeds that harm the culture. BAYER has developed an effective herbicide Adengo especially for corn. This is an innovative product for crop protection against annual broad-leaved and cereal weeds, for full-emergence or early post-emergence application.
Main advantages of Adengo herbicide
The ability to increase its herbicidal action after minimal precipitation provides a long-lasting effect of protecting corn, even from those weeds that have sprouted for certain reasons. This is the main feature of Adengo herbicide - the so-called "recharge effect", which is able to synchronize when needed. Thanks to the special antidote included in the product, high selectivity to the culture, the maximum possible window of product application is ensured. Adengo herbicide is successfully used on
grain and silage corn during the sowing period (early-emerging variant) and before the formation of the second leaf (early-emerging). Two active ingredients with different mechanisms of action reliably help control a wide range of weeds. With pre-emergence treatment, long-term protection of the crop is provided by the ability of the herbicide to destroy weeds at the stage of their germination. And with early post-emergence application of the product, a special burning potential is present, which effectively eliminates weeds.
Mechanism of action
Isoxaflutol, the main ingredient, concentrates in the upper layers of the soil, penetrates into the seeds and seedlings of the weed plant. Under the condition of sufficient humidity, isoxaflutol produces diketonitrile in the weed when the isoxazole ring is opened. Acting as a blocker of carotenoid biosynthesis, it causes discoloration of germinating or young plants. Thus, harmful plants do not sprout or die quickly. The group of sulfonylureas is represented by the second active substance - thiencarbazone-methyl. It quickly penetrates the weeds through the surface of the leaves and the root system, blocks the process of synthesis of amino acids, thereby preventing
cell division in weed plants at the point of growth. Yes, weeds stop growing and after a few days you can observe active chlorosis of the leaves. Complete death of the plant occurs after 2-4 weeks. In the absence of proper hydration, diketonitrile production stops. But, isoxaflutol has an excellent quality - it remains on the soil surface for a long time. Therefore, at the first precipitation or when watering, the herbicide action is reactivated with new force. The antidote cyprosulfamide contributes to the wide window in which Adengo herbicide can be used without risk. The combination of two components with different mechanisms of action together with an antidote helps achieve long-term and selective control of annual broadleaf and cereal weeds in relation to corn.

Recommendations for using
To obtain the maximum result, you should adhere to certain recommendations from the manufacturer: it is necessary to try to achieve uniform distribution of the drug during spraying over the entire corn;
it is better to use small-drop treatment;
corn seeds should be evenly wrapped to avoid contact with the herbicide;
the mixer should work constantly;
it is necessary not to allow any mechanical processing of the soil after applying the drug, until the phase of 4-5 leaves.
The rate of application of Adengo herbicide is 0.35-0.5 l/ha.
The maximum dose is used exclusively before crop emergence.
The consumption of working fluid is 200-300 l per 1 g.
It is possible to process both grain and silage corn from sowing to the phase of formation of 2-3 leaves.
If the weather conditions are too dry at the time of planting and before the first germination of the crop, the application of the pre-emergence processing option will be less effective. In this case, it is more rational to carry out spraying already in the recommended vegetative phase of corn.
At the same time, broadleaf weeds should not have more than 2-4 leaves, and grasses - 3.
