The co-presence of potassium and magnesium in the composition of one fertilizer has important agronomic significance. The separate application of potash and magnesium fertilizers due to their uneven distribution in the soil reduces productivity compared to their joint presence in the composition of potash fertilizers.
Calimagnesia is effective on all soils and under all major agricultural crops. The effect of fertilizer is especially effective for crops, the productive part of which is vegetative mass and root crops - for cabbage, green vegetables, beets, carrots, radishes, parsley, celery, and for all fodder crops, as well as on meadows and pastures, thanks to the beneficial effect of potassium and magnesium.
Kalimag significantly increases the yield of fodder crops grown for green fodder and silage, in hayfields and pastures, improving the chemical composition, nutritional value and edibility of fodder.
Applied to potato, sunflower, fodder beet, cabbage, oat and rapeseed crops (as winter fodder), silage crops: mixed sowing "peas-oats-sunflower", the use of potassium magnesium is preferable to standard potassium chloride, both in terms of increasing yield and increasing the nutritional value of crops. Sunflower and potato plants do not accumulate sodium, but for oats, fodder beets and cabbage, sodium admixture is useful, the presence of magnesium significantly increases the nutritional value. Chlorine ion accumulation in the soil is significantly less than when using low-percentage chlorine-containing potassium salts.
The exact rates of application of Kalimag fertilizer are determined taking into account the availability of potassium in the soil and its removal by the planned harvest. Liming of soils, introduction of peat, nitrogen andphosphorus fertilizers, trace elements, with good agricultural technology, increase the effect of kalimagnesia.
