MVU-5 mineral fertilizer spreader - trailed unit for applying loose mineral fertilizers (feces, sand, gypsum, kurpomet). The MVU-5 fertilizer application machine has the following design features: the running part of the MVU-5 machine is a springless tandem balancer cart, consisting of two balancers connected by a central axis on sliding bearings, with axles for attaching wheels. The metering valve of the improved design is a gate valve that moves in the guides on the rear side of the body with the help of a steering wheel fixed on the shaft together with two sprockets that engage with the rails on the valve. The rod-plate conveyor of the machine consists of rectilinear rods connected in a closed circuit by means of link plates. The transporter is driven by the runningwheel at application doses from 80 to 6000 kg/ha, over 200 kg - by the tractor's front axle. Scattering discs have four grooved vanes set at an angle of 90 to each other. To increase strength, the discs are equipped with burrs and ring corrugations.Disc drive is carried out from the PTO of the tractor through a cardan shaft, intermediate shafts, two V-belt circuits and two bevel gears.
