Description of wheat variety TESLA

The TESLA soft wheat variety was bred in Canada. TESLA is a transgenic variety of durum wheat, which was tested for frost resistance in Russia, Canada and Northern Norway where the air temperature reached - 38 °C, and was also tested for drought resistance in Morocco, Niger and Argentina where the average air temperature was + 60 °C. The variety is characterized by a high yield of 115 - 120 t/ha, which is achieved thanks to a large spike (27 cm) and a high coefficient of bushiness. TESLA has immunity to fungal diseases and to viruses affecting ordinary wheat varieties.

The height of wheat of this variety is 120 cm. The bush is upright, one bush can have up to 22 ears. The stem of the plant is powerful, the diameter reaches 3 cm in girth.
