The hub, cast from gray cast iron, must be turned. Drilling of all holes (for the disk mount, for the tavotnitsa) is done in the conductor, which entails the accuracy of execution. Lubrication of the unit by injection method is implemented in the product. Next, the ends are trimmed, the mounting holes for the bearings, the oil seal, and the dust cover are turned. The trunnion is made of 30-grade steel, 45-grade steel is not applicable for these purposes, because the trunnion shaft is welded to the mounting plate. On the trunnion, the seat necks are turned for the internal seats of the bearings, oil seal, anther, a thread is cut to adjust the guaranteed tension in the bearings, and a hole is drilled for the stopper in the form of a cotter pin. After that, the fastening plate is welded, the product is primed and painted in black or dark gray. Roller bearings are used: 7506 and 7508, domestically produced (available in Ukraine) of the highest series, relatively original, belonging to the light series. That's why the original hubs hardly survive the season without replacing the bearings.(//tractor-service.com)
The product as a whole has been tested in real conditions, has proven itself in long-term operation and is guaranteed to work for at least two seasons (without repairs), depending on the working conditions, while the condition of the bearings is quite satisfactory. Bearings of the medium series are superior to bearings of the light series by 40-50% in terms of their operational performance. At the same time, bearings 7506 and 7508 are manufactured by different manufacturers, up to expensive imported ones, which allow our hub to work for several seasons without replacement.
The weight of the hub as a whole is 15 kg.
