In the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2009, recommended for sowing in steppe and forest-steppe zones.
Economic and biological characteristics:
A variety of high-intensity steppe ecotype, suitable for growing in different agrobackgrounds. The yield of 72.3-89.4 t/ha during the years of competitive variety testing at the institute was formed due to high productive bushiness (from 620 to 820 stems per 1 m2) and high grain size (up to 55-65 grains in an ear). Bunchuk exceeds the productivity of standard varieties by 5.7-11.7%.
● Belongs to the group of medium-early, with the duration of the vegetation period 278-283 days.
Bunchuk - short-stemmed soft winter wheat (height 85-95 cm). Resistant to lodging (8-9 points), shedding (8-9 points) and grain germination on the root (8-9 points).
● Winter hardiness at the level of the standard grade of the Odessa Albatross (7-8 points). High drought and heat resistance (8-9 points).
● The variety is characterized by group resistance to diseases (in points): brown rust — 7-8, powdery mildew — 6-7, ear septoria — 5-6, head rot — 3-4.
Grain quality: belongs to the category of strong wheat. Protein content 12.4-13.7%, gluten 27.6-32.1%, flour strength (W) 340-420 c. a., the volume of bread from 100 g of flour is 1440-1720 cm3, the overall grade of bread is 4.8-5.2 points.
Aprobation signs:
variety of erythrospermum. The spike is cylindrical in shape, 9.2-10.8 cm long, medium density (18-22 segments per 10 cm spike). The spines are coarse, slightly jagged. Spike scales are egg-shaped, the shoulder is slightly beveled. Keel is well expressed. The tooth is short.
Agrotechnical requirements:
reacts well to increased agricultural background, including precursors and mineral fertilizers.
Features of the variety:
The erictoid arrangement of the leaves of the Bunchuk variety provides the plant with better lighting and aeration. In this regard, the seeding rate can be increased by 5-10%.
