Calypso®
Systemic insecticide of contact and intestinal action.
Active substance:
Thiacloprid, 480 g/l
Preparation form:
suspension concentrate
Impact on bees:
The drug is safe for bees at the correct dosage.
Properties:
Calypso®, thanks to the unique properties of the preparation form, has a high resistance to being washed away by rain and solar radiation, it remains on the surface of the crop leaf for a long time, continuously penetrating the plant and providing long-term control of the number of pests.
In addition to the systemic properties of the distribution of the drug in the plant, Calypso® has a contact effect, providing excellent biological effectiveness against a wide range of pests at relatively low application rates, excellent plant compatibility and favorable ecotoxicological characteristics.
The mechanism of action of Calypso® consists in disrupting the functioning of the nervous system, providing a quick knock-down effect (paralysis) and the death of insect pests. At the same time, there is no cross-resistance because the drug differs in its mechanism of action from drugs from other chemical groups, in particular pyrethroids, carbamates, organophosphorus compounds. In addition, with the correct dosage, the drug is safe for bees, which makes it possible to spray even during flowering.
