This MTZ compressor is single-cylinder, piston-type, single-stage. It is installed on the left side of the distribution cover of D-240, D-243, D-245 engines. The compressor is driven from the gear of the fuelpump by means of an intermediate gear (pos. 1 in the figure) to the driven gear, which is mounted on the crankshaft (pos. 3) of the compressor.
In the upper part (cavity) of the A29.01.000 compressor there are suction (pos. 11) and discharge (pos. 12) plate-type valves pressed against spring seats. Compressor cooling system – air type, lubrication system – mixed. Oil from the oil line of the engine flows through the tube to the compressor cover, and then through the hole made in the sealing device, flows into the crankshaft channel. Through the same channel, the oil is supplied to the connecting rod bearing and at the same time goes through the tube to the bearing of the intermediate gear. The remaining friction surfaces are lubricated by spraying. Oil is drained from the compressor into the engine pan through the distribution cover.(//tractor-service.com)
The working cycle of the MTZ compressor is as follows. When the engine is running, the crankshaft of the compressor is driven. Moving up, the piston (pos. 7) compresses the air, which is pushed through the valve (pos. 12) into the injection channel, and then sent through the pipelines to the air cylinder. At the moment of reaching the maximum pressure in the cylinder (7.5 kgf/cm2), the pressure regulator is activated, which leads to unloading of the compressor. At the same time, the air in the air cylinder stops being pumped up. When the pressure in the pneumatic system drops to 6.5 kgf/cm2, the pressure regulator is retriggered and the supply of compressed air to the pneumatic system resumestractor system.
