This part is intended for use on MTZ tractors. Produced under catalog numbers 240-1004100-А. It is part of the crank mechanism. Structurally, the D-240 connecting rod consists of three parts. The base is a rod on the ends of which heads are placed. The upper - crank head - connects the connecting rod with the neck of the crankshaft, the lower - piston head connects the connecting rod with the piston. The purpose of the connecting rod is to transmit the reciprocating movements of the piston to the engine crankshaft, for conversion to rotary motion.
