HARMONY is intended for the suppression of annual broad-leaved weeds in the phase of 2-6 leaves (ambrosia polynolistnaya in the phase of 2 leaves).
MECHANISM OF ACTION OF HARMONY
HARMONY penetrates the leaves of weeds and quickly moves to the growth zones of roots and stems. After processing HARMONY, it quickly moves through the plants to the growth points, where it blocks acetolactate synthase. This enzyme is necessary for the synthesis of essential amino acids - valine, leucine and isoleucine. After a few hours, susceptible weeds stop growing and no longer compete with cultivated plants in the consumption of moisture and minerals. Other visible symptoms (redness, chlorosis, necrosis and deformation of leaves) appear after 3-7 days, and the complete death of sensitive weeds occurs after 5-15 days. HARMONY acts on an enzyme that does not exist in human and animal bodies, which explains the low toxicity of HARMONY for warm-blooded animals.
