They are called "German giant". The average body weight of females reaches 8-10 kg. , males 9-12 kg. This is the largest breed of rabbits in the world! Obery belongs to the meat-skin type of rabbits. The body of these rabbits is harmonious, the back is round, the back is straight. Excellently developed chest and very large and strong hind legs. The front legs are straight. A large head is placed on a short neck. They reach 75 cm in length. , chest girth 45 cm. They are recognized as the calling card of the breed. . . ears! Incredibly large and fleshy, they reach a length of 16 to 23 cm. , which makes up one third of the animal's body! The width of these ears also turned out to be very impressive. They reach 10-12 cm. This is the width of a large man's palm! They are rounded at the ends.(//tractor-service.com)

As the name implies in Germany, they brought out the oberov. The very name of the breed means "giant, huge" in German. These rabbits trace their lineage to the Belgian Flanders, which were widespread in Germany in the 19th century.
Obery are very smart, friendly rabbits, distinguished by an unusually calm disposition and meek character. Therefore, they are bred not only for production purposes, but also as household companions. Their fur is not long, they do not require special care, but they will need a lot of space for a comfortable life for a rabbit in the house.
