The modernized planter SUPN-8U is intended for dotted sowing of calibrated and uncalibrated sorted seeds of corn, sunflower and other crops with simultaneous application of mineral fertilizers and rolling of the soil in rows. In the seeder, the creation of a vacuum is provided by a fan driven by the rotation of the tractor PTO with a rotation frequency of 540 rpm. The fan is equipped with an overrunning clutch that protects the belt transmission from excessive wear. The bearing beam of the frameseeder is the receiver of its pneumatic system. The SUPN-8U planters are aggregated with tractors with a traction force of 0.9 to 2 tons. The planter is equipped with plastic grain and fat hoppers. The weight of the seeder is only 920 kg, so it is convenient to combine it with MTZ-80 / 82 tractors.

Principle of operation: By means of the transmission mechanism from the supporting and driving wheels, the rotation of the seed-seeding discs and augers of the fat-seeding apparatus is carried out. With the help of a vacuum, the seeds are sucked to the holes of the rotating disc located in the discharge zone and transported from the intake chamber to the discharge zone. The removal of excess seeds that have been sucked into the holes back into the intake chamber is carried out by the discharge fork. The coulter makes a furrow, first lays the fat, they are sprinkled with earth, and then, in the furrow, the seeds fall so that there is no contact between the seeds and the fat. Wrappers cover the groove that rollsthe wheel seals the soil, creating contact between the seeds and the soil and conditions for them to absorb moisture, and the plume evens out the surface of the field and creates a mulched soil layer.
