An ideal early variety for October sowing. Peas can be sown in early spring if the soil is suitable. The plant was medium-sized - 76 cm with yellow and roundbeans. High resistance to lodging and leguminous diseases is characteristic. Peas overwinter well at a plant height of 4 cm. It is necessary to maintain a sowing depth of 5 to 6 cm. Suitable for sowing on all types except heavy and wet soil. The variety is extremely environmentally plastic, so it is suitable for cultivation in all agro-ecological zones: Steppe, Forest-Steppe and Polissia, it is not picky about its predecessors.

Biological characteristics of the variety

Winter peas "Balltrap" is an early-ripening French variety created by the breeding company Florimond Desprez specifically for autumn crops in temperate climates. The plant is medium-sized (76-85 cm), with a strong elastic stem and a leaf type (non-leafless), which resists lodging well. Thanks to its high winter hardiness, the crop successfully overwinters at a plant height of 4 cm, and the early recovery of vegetation in the spring makes it possible to make maximum use of soil moisture. The seeds are yellow, rounded, leveled, with a high protein content (24-26%), suitable for food processing, compound feed and extrusion. The variety is ecologically plastic, recommended for growing in all agro-climatic zones of Ukraine, except for heavy compacted and overmoistened soils.
